Call Rejecter – Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-02-15
Call Rejecter (“the App”, “we”, “us”) helps screen incoming calls and reduce unwanted calls. This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed, why, and how it is handled.
1. Summary
- The App may process call-related information to decide whether to allow, silence, or reject calls, based on your settings and permissions.
- The App may use third-party services such as Google AdMob (ads) and analytics/crash reporting (if enabled) to improve stability and understand usage.
- We do not sell your personal data.
2. Information We Process
Depending on your device, OS version, and the permissions you grant, the App may process:
A) Call-related data (for call screening)
- Incoming phone number (or “unknown/private” when not available)
- Call event metadata (e.g., time, action taken: allowed/silenced/rejected, attempt counts)
- Device/OS signals required by the call screening APIs
B) Contacts (optional / only if you grant permission)
- If you choose to enable features that rely on contacts (e.g., allow-list), the App may access contact identifiers to match callers.
- The App is designed to use this data for on-device decisions.
C) App settings & local logs
- Your preferences (e.g., protection enabled, unknown call action)
- Local call activity logs (e.g., attempts, last action/time)
D) Advertising & analytics data (third parties)
If ads are enabled, Google AdMob may collect and process:
- Advertising identifiers (e.g., AAID on Android) and related ad signals
- IP address (approximate location), device identifiers, and diagnostics
- Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
If analytics/crash reporting is enabled (now or in the future), providers may collect:
- App events (screen views, feature usage)
- Crash logs and performance diagnostics
- Approximate device and OS info
Note: Third-party providers process data under their own policies. We only integrate reputable SDKs and aim to minimize data collection.
3. How We Use Information
We use processed data to:
- Provide the call screening functionality (allow/silence/reject)
- Keep local history/logs (for transparency and debugging)
- Improve the App (bug fixes, stability, UX)
- Show ads and measure basic performance of ads (if enabled)
4. Where Data Is Stored
- On-device: Settings and local call activity logs are stored locally (e.g., using app storage).
- Remote services: Ads and analytics data may be processed by Google/third parties when those SDKs are enabled.
5. Data Sharing
We may share data only:
- With service providers (e.g., Google AdMob) to deliver ads and operate SDK features
- If required by law, legal process, or to protect rights and safety
- With your consent (e.g., if you explicitly enable/authorize a feature)
We do not sell personal information.
6. Data Retention
- Local logs remain on your device until you clear them (or reinstall).
- Third-party providers retain data according to their own retention policies.
7. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is 100% secure. Keep your device secured with a passcode/biometrics.
8. Your Choices & Controls
- You can enable/disable protection features in the App.
- You can revoke permissions at any time via your device settings.
- You can clear local app data from OS settings to remove local logs/settings.
- Where applicable, you can adjust ad personalization in your Google/device settings.
9. Children’s Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required by your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. Changes will be posted in-app with a new “Last updated” date.
